Control Room Operator
£10.91 per hour
We are currently recruiting for a Control Room Operator to work for the local authority in the Oldham. The successful candidate must have SIA Badges and an enhanced DBS check will be required.
Working in the Emergency Control Centre, providing effective and efficient command and control of civil emergencies, public space CCTV, alarms, key holding and security management.
A good standard of numeracy and literacy.
A licence issued by the Security Industry Authority.
A relevant industry qualification/training on security management.
Experience of monitoring and responding to alarm equipment/CCTV equipment.
Ability to undertake risk assessment of activities.
Ability to analyse complex situations and events and draw conclusions.
Ability to respond to customers courteously and helpfully.
Ability to prioritise work and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work effectively in a team & capable of making a full contribution to team decision-making and achievement of objectives.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Current knowledge of security services issues.
Current knowledge of equalities and diversity issues.
Ability to work outside office hours.
