We are looking for a Building Surveyor – Property to work in the Rochdale area.
Surveys and scheduling works for adaptation work
Adaptations to council owned stock
Disabled Facilities Grant work (DFG)
Experienced using Auto CAD
The postholder must –
- Perform his/her duties in accordance with Rochdale Council’s Equality and Diversity Policy.
- Ensure that Rochdale Council’s commitment to public service orientation and care of our customers is provided.
- To undertake and carry out all types of Building Surveys – to include Condition, Dilapidation, bespoke, and Whole life cycle costing, etc. manage post survey construction works from tender production to execution and completion of works on site .To assist the Lead/Senior Building Surveyors to deliver high quality services with specific responsibilities for Building surveying section of Property Services. To act as a point of contact on behalf of the Lead/Senior surveyor as requested for the clients whilst demonstrating excellent customer care skills and the ability to assist the Lead/Senior Building Surveyors with project procurement, To organise and manage the execution of project work ensuring high standards, undertaking value engineering as required to ensure value for money, competitiveness and compliance with specifications. To manage any budgets delegated to the post holder and to advise the Lead/Senior Building Surveyor on any deviation from budget and project cost forecasts. To be responsible for regularly updating and maintaining an appropriate inventory of equipment’s – to Statutory and Company requirements and to contribute towards the vision, values aims and objectives of Property Service and RBC.
Hours: 7.4 hours per day, 5 days, flexible working hours
Salary: £17.01 per hour
Temporary until 28.01.22 (starting August 2021)
